ABA Therapy in Albuquerque, NM

ABA therapy for Albuquerque families

Albuquerque is the center of gravity for our New Mexico services. Laura Cutshall, M.S., BCBA — our Clinical Manager for New Mexico — personally oversees Albuquerque programs and supervises the BCBAs and RBTs delivering care.

Most Albuquerque families we work with are covered under Turquoise Care, New Mexico’s Medicaid program, and we’re in-network with the Turquoise Care MCOs (BCBSNM, Molina, Presbyterian). Commercial plans from Molina and Presbyterian are also accepted.

ABA sessions happen in-home across Albuquerque, with parent training and BCBA consultation supplementing direct work. We coordinate openly with UNM CDD, Albuquerque Public Schools, and local pediatricians when families want consistent care across settings.

Albuquerque ABA therapy FAQs

The Turquoise Care MCOs (BCBSNM, Molina, Presbyterian) cover ABA for autism — and we're in-network with all of them. The choice is really about which plan's broader benefits and provider network fit your family. If you're already in Turquoise Care, we can start services under your existing plan; if you're choosing, we don't prefer one over another.

Yes, with parent consent. Many Albuquerque families we serve have received their ASD evaluation through UNM CDD. Our BCBAs coordinate with CDD recommendations and other diagnostic providers to keep your child's care plan consistent across settings.

Yes. Most of the Albuquerque children we work with attend Albuquerque Public Schools. We build therapy schedules around the school day and, with your consent, can participate in IEP meetings to align ABA goals with school-based supports.

Albuquerque's geography means travel time is a real factor. We assign RBTs and BCBAs based on where families live — West Side, Northeast Heights, Nob Hill, Four Hills, North Valley — so your team isn't commuting across the metro for every session.
