ABA Therapy in Charlotte, NC
ABA therapy for Charlotte families
Charlotte is BrightBridge ABA’s largest North Carolina metro outside the Triad. Our Charlotte clinical team is led by Anya Schommer, B.A., BCaBA, LaBA, who oversees every Mecklenburg County program personally — plus families across adjacent Cabarrus, Union, and Gaston counties — and supervises the BCBAs and RBTs delivering care.
Charlotte programs are delivered primarily in-home and in the community. We schedule RBTs geographically so your direct-care provider is based near you — not commuting across I-77 for every session. That keeps attendance consistent and respects your family’s time.
Most Charlotte families we work with use NC Medicaid (Healthy Blue, Carolina Complete Health, WellCare, AmeriHealth Caritas, or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan) or a commercial plan from a major Charlotte employer. We’re in-network with nearly every insurer serving the metro, and our intake team handles authorization for you.
Clinical leadership for Charlotte
Every BrightBridge ABA program is led by a credentialed behavior analyst who designs your child's care plan, trains the RBTs delivering sessions, and adjusts the plan as your child grows.

Charlotte ABA therapy FAQs
We serve families across the full Mecklenburg County footprint — Uptown, South End, Ballantyne, University, SouthPark, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, and Pineville. We also cover adjacent Cabarrus County (Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg), Union County (Monroe, Waxhaw, Indian Trail, Weddington), and Gaston County (Gastonia, Belmont, Mount Holly) — in-home ABA reaches all of these areas.
Yes. In addition to all NC Medicaid managed care plans, we're in-network with BCBS NC, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, TRICARE East, and Ambetter. Charlotte families with employer plans from Bank of America, Atrium Health, Wells Fargo, Lowe's, and similar employers are typically well-covered.
We build RBT assignments geographically — meaning the RBT coming to your house is based as close to you as we can manage, not scheduled from across the city. This reduces cancellations, keeps sessions consistent, and respects your RBT's time.
Anya Schommer, B.A., BCaBA, LaBA, is our Regional Clinical Manager covering Charlotte and the Triad. Anya oversees every Charlotte case, supervises the BCBAs and RBTs on the team, and holds the relationship with each family directly.
